My cooking journey began when I was quite young, and my family still laughs about my various “delights” I’d make in the kitchen. All of my siblings grew up cooking and hands down I’d rather eat at one of their homes than 99% of restaurants. Apparently, people feel that way about my cooking, too.
As a home chef, I’ve worked hard to learn how to cook well and I still do. I’m sharing this phase of my journey, hoping to inspire you to cook more. Marge Simpson once argued, “One day a week, I should be able to put on nice clothes and have someone bring food to me.” I support that sentiment completely.
But I also know that cooking at home means you can control the ingredients that go into your food, improving both quality and nutrition. And really, it’s just a lot of fun, especially when you get to share it with people you love.
My name is Brook and I’m a home chef. I’ve been cooking for more than 35 years. I spent the last year preparing and refining the recipes found in my late grandmother’s recipe boxes. Sharing the results brought me so much joy, I decided to continue the journey more publicly, and invite you to follow along.
The results will be delicious.
